A few years ago my mobile contract came to an end and I had the option of upgrading my phone and therefore renewing my contract, keeping my phone and having a rolling contract or keeping my phone and cancelling my contract. Now the phone that came with the contract had already given up the ghost and Mr K had kindly bought me an iPhone for my birthday. I therefore didn’t need to upgrade. I decided to have a look around for a cheaper contract in order to save some money but I didn’t really want to be tied down for another 2 years. A friend of mine recommended giffgaff and after a bit of research it seemed like the perfect solution.

Giffgaff is a pay as you go network but instead of just topping up credit whenever you run out and using that money for calls, texts etc (which you can do if you want), you can buy monthly goodybags consisting of calls, texts and data. These start from as little as £5 a month and you can set them up to automatically renew. Giffgaff even send you an email with your monthly usage and your recommended  plan based on that. I have therefore just changed from the £10 a month goodybag to the £7.50 a month goodybag after they told me that I would be better off on the cheaper one.

When you join you are given a link so that if people you know would like to order a giffgaff sim they can order from you and you both get some free credit when they activate it. So come on, what are you waiting for? Order a giffgaff sim today and save yourself some money!
